Yesterday . . . I took a walk

I did my usual five miles and this time I took along my little point and shoot camera. It was a beautiful day and I thought it would be fun to let you see some of what I saw on my two and a half miles out, and two and a half back. Along the way, there are about a dozen bridges that criss-cross the creek, giving different views and vantage points all along the way. Enjoy your walk!

I am quite pleased, proud and delighted to say that, as all of us who consistently try to do work that will 'wow' the jury with hopes of good news at this particular time of the year, I received the 'BIG envelope' today from the Woodson Art Museum indicating that my work, The Horse Whisperer, made it through the jury this year and will be included in this year's edition of Birds in Art, the museum's internationally recognized flagship, annual exhibition. If memory serves, this will be my 18th year of making it through the jury process. This year, the museum received 884 submissions from almost 550 artists from all across the globe. A truly tough process to make it through. The final tally this time around, 112 juried pieces.
I am honored once again, that my work drew enough attention from the three person jury, to have made the final cut. I look forward, now, to hearing from many of my artist friends in hopes of hearing additional good news on their behalf.
September in north central Wisconsin, could there be any place finer?
