A long work day yesterday, so got quite a bit accomplished on this new piece; continuing to layer to get depth and separate here from there; moving around the piece to make certain that the tones, lights and shadows all work together; defining the bird shapes; refining some of the detail work but not being too picky at this point - that will be saved for final touches.
