'Good Ol' Boys'

The last work off the board, completed; image size - 8" x 10". Things got busy over the weekend, cleaning up, finishing up, framing and preparing to deliver work for the hanging of the show at Troika Gallery this week, so forgot to post this. Again, the show opens on Friday with an artist reception from 5 PM through 9 PM in Easton, Maryland on the eastern side of the Chesapeake Bay. My friend Paula Waterman and I will be there to meet and greet, and talk about our work.

'The First of February'

No, it is actually the 12th of February, but the title of the latest work (finished up a couple of days ago) is as above, on this, the birth date of Abraham Lincoln (and that marvelous American 20th Century composer, Roy Harris). The work is 5" x 8".

With a nice powdery white coating of overnight fallen snow covering everything here today, I have begun this piece, reflecting the chill in our Maryland air. This too, shall be included in the gallery show next month.

A small work, 6" x 4", I have just framed for a donation to a fund raiser at the Roanoke Zoo in Virginia. Not sure of the exact date of the event, but sometime in March. I believe you can check the zoo's web site for further information or at least contact info, if interested.

I understand that the tiger that the zoo housed, who spent a long and pretty healthy life there, recently died and as a result, I was asked specifically by a friend/collector of my work to do a tiger piece for this event as a way of celebrating the life of that fondly remembered animal.

'Winter Woolies'

The latest work off the drawing board, as we are experiencing snow here in central Maryland. Good thing these creatures are wooly! The image size is 7 1/2" x 12 1/2" and this work will hang next month at Troika Gallery in Easton, Maryland in a show titled, 'Black and White', shared with fellow artist/friend Paula Waterman and her magnificent scratch board works.
