Busy, busy Sunday . . . packing boxes! Four filled and ready to head to FedEx tomorrow for shipment to The Woodson Art Museum. Loaded with 13 works of the 14 that will make up my Master's exhibition during this year's edition of the museum's internationally recognized Birds in Art. I'm now pooped! I still have to do a couple of small, 4" x 6" works for the museum's Project Postcard, during which visitors will have a wonderful opportunity to purchase, for $50 cash, an original drawing, painting or sketch done by one of the included artists from this year's exhibition. Names are withheld till after the purchase when the buyer can turn the card over to see whose work it is. It is a wonderful way to own a fine work of original art from some of the world's most respected artists and, at the same time, support the museum's purchase fund to add works to its permanent collection. I have no doubt there will be well over 100 small gems to select from this September so if you would like that opportunity to pick up a true bargain in fine art, plan a trip to Wausau, Wisconsin for the first Friday in September. You can contact the museum for particulars on how to be able to garner an invitation to the opening gala reception that evening during which the Project Postcard works will be available.
